Ok guys I just got a brake flush done and found out my rear brake pads are almost done.
Was looking for something better than oem and I had hawk brake pads on my last car and they were really good.
My fronts are still good and I wanted to know if I could just upgrade the rears to hawk brake pads an keep the front oem? My front calipers are big

From what I've researched, Hawk pads are racing pads and won't be beneficial for daily driving. It will actually shorten the life of your rotors because of its extra roughness. Plus, they won't get hot enough with daily driving to work like they were designed to. I would stick with OEM.

There's be no "upgrade" in normal street use no matter what pad you put on (and possibly a downgrade to service life as mentioned) because different pads don't change anything in normal street driving other than:
feel
amount of dust produced
service life
and the OEM pads are quite good at all 3 (if you count the low-dust ones for the front).
I also tend to prefer keeping the same type of pads on all 4 wheels.
