Default F-sport susp. vs F-sport sways on base susp.

'08 IS350
Don't ever plan on going to track or auto-x, but my commute does consist of a good back road w/ pretty good twists and elevation changes and some twists w/ elevation changes. The car rolls a bit too much for my tastes, so which setup would give the better bang for the buck? Switch to f-sport springs and shocks w/ stock sways (w/ dealer installing) or base suspension w/ f-sport sways (front and rear w/ self-install)? My goal is really just to take some body roll out of my drive. Again, which would be more worth it?

i would do the sway bars. the fsport springs is mainly to reduce the gap between your fender and tires. doesnt really help with body roll that much since it is such a little drop

btw. the dealer will charge you quite a lot of money to install the fsport springs and shocks. if you do plan to go that route, i would just take it to a shop and have them install it, they should charge around 150-250 to install outside the dealer.

Since the goal is to remove body roll, definitely sway bars...front and rear.

sway bar reduces much of the body roll you'll see. I have only the rear bar and it does the job. And plus install is super easy!

I hear the front doesnt make as large of a difference as the rear and it promotes understeer, but maybe someone can chime in to confirm or deny this claim.

Awesome, thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like sways it is.
So, anyone confirm that the front will actually increase understeer? If not, I don't think my OCD will allow me to do just the rear, even though everything I've read says it's the only one I should need

Also, when reading thru the Sway Bar Official Thread, noticed that one poster said he actually bent his endlinks after installing the sways; anyone else run into this problem over time?

Just get the set. Is cheaper vs buying the rear first then the front later. I did that.. should of got the set right from the beginning.

no understeer here and i have the front and rear..... Get both man you wont regret it. I got the rear first then had to get the front

Dont mean to hijack here, but im kinda shocked to see 3 people saying to get the set.

When i checked out some other post on sway bars, like 100+ people all said its only worth getting the rear sway bar... and the front sway bar DOES help but by something almost unnoticeable that isn't worth 200 bucks..

100% of people I've seen who did rear only, then added the front later, said the front was worth getting.

The folks saying it's not generally didn't do the front at all, and are basing it off inaccurate #s from a lexus website (that have changed at least twice and still ain't accurate)

Just make sure you torque it within factory spec and you should be good.

When you're undoing the bolts in the rear, you might wanna apply some WD-40 and let it set for a while. I have an 08 and mine were kinda rusted and were a little tough to get loose.
