im tempted to do aluminum bushings all around but everyone says its not a good idea for a daily driver, I still dont know enough to make a decision.

the ride will stiffen up a bunch. there wont be any give with the new set up. which is fine. however people that do the mod arent used to the feeling, and it can get un comfortable at times depending on what your driving on.

my goal for next year is solid rack mounts, diff mounts, and buying more parts from Battle version. im hoping if i buy enough stuff i can get a discount lol

Trust me you do not want solid! Great for a race only car but just ruins a car drivin on the street as the nvh is amped up 400 times which is bad.

I dont think you guys realize that many cars have the subframes solid mounted from the factory. They added large rubber bushings to the SC's to make it a softer ride. But after a decade of driving around, those rubber bushings that once made it feel good, now makes the car feel sloppy from age.

The front subframe of the SC300/400 is solid mounted!!!!! Why not make the rear solid too?

^This is probably the best point made in the thread IMO. In reality most of our cars aren't really luxury cars anymore... I can say that for myself for sure

Vibration and harmonics will still be transfered to the chassis and if your diff has solid mounts as well it will be far worse but for a race only car it's all good and if you can put up with a little vibration and noise it sounds like it will be a fine choice it's all about finding what's right for you and your stup.

yes, you do feel more of the road. yes, you can hear a bit more road noise. would I go back to stock? hell no. imo, this isn't a racekar only application. I've been dd-ing my sc for last year or so with these and haven't looked back.

I have a question. Do you hear any knocking or clinking coming from the mounts hitting the studs on the chassis? That is my only concern. I dont care about ride quality as much as a quiet ride, haha.

if it clunks, it means you probably didn't torque down the subframe. frightening thought.

the rear bushings, i don't remember all too well, but it may be possible to just unbolt and yank the bushing off, then commence the pyro-teknics before you press the new bushings in.

The fronts, though, it'd be really hard to do without dropping it since you do have to pry off the old ones and then hammer in the new ones. so either way you'd need to lower it a good amount to get the clearance you need. It'll probably save you the headache if you just dropped it all the way.
