Monoblock Brake Kit

Monoblock Brake Kit
I have spoke to several people on this site about the Monoblock kit TRD offers. All it is a Celsior UFC 30/LS430 claiper, painted black with a TRD logo slapped on it, with slotted rotors and stainless lines. Of course the benefit is that the 4 piston caliper is one piece instead of the two piece Supra TT caliper which TRD offers as the high performance kit. Also the front caliper is aluminum, weighs 3.5 kg vs the Supra's 6.3 kg. They both use the same 324mm rotor and I have seen them fit on the stock 17" rims of the GS. The rear has huge size pads compared to the Supra. Below is a pic, left is the stock GS, middle is the Celsior, and then the Supra.

Hey Aristo, shoot me an e-mail about this when you get a minute. BTW, the LS430 has 315mm rotors, the Supra has 320mm rotors. Not sure why they are different but they should be interchagable. Width is same. Took a look at them at the Lexus dealer and yes they do look smaller than the Supra calipers although they are still snug behind those 17X7.5 inch wheels. Are you positive they fit behind the stock GS 17's?

They should be the same size. This kit is sold for the Toyota Aristo now by Netz in lieu of the Supra TT. You will need a bracket like the TT kit to get it to bolt on. From what I hear these brakes have awesome stopping power. My brother in law has the UFC21 Celsior(98Lexus LS400) it has the supra tt brakes on it so I guess to stop that boat you need these brakes. Here is a link to the netz toyota page. http://www.netzsport.com/main.html

I guess the brackets are only for the rears correct? No bracket should be necessary for the front. Those are pretty sweet. Cheap too! About same price as the TT calipers and much lighter. I think I found my brake kit! I just bought a set of used TT rotors so I'll try fitting them. If that doesn't work I'll buy some LS430 rotors I suppose. Time to order my Endless pads for the LS.

You need the brackets for the front, just like if you where putting on the Supra's. I think it is due to the larger size rotor, that caliper won't bolt on directly. If you click on the link above and then on "Parts", then Aristo you will see the bracket I am referring to.

Nope, I looked again, still don't see any brackets on the front and have done a search and no one has mentioned any brackets. They should bolt right on in front. Those blueish brackets are for the rear since the rear calipers have different mounting hole spacing I believe. Just got a pair of Supra rotors for $80 so time to order up the calipers soon and the Endless CC-X pads of course.
