Default Rack and Pinion Transfer

Good Day CL Members,

Been a long time reader and i have posted a couple of times so am not too much of a stranger. Had a 2nd Gen GS300 and now i have a 93 Soarer ($1600.00 w/ 140,***km). Had the car from August of 2011 and haven't really had any major probs. i just had to do basic TLC and changed the front lower control arm. My steering rack is leaking slowly but surely and i want to know if i cant just get a rack n pinion setup from an SC300 and just spin it around? Does anyone have any experience doing this? Yes, I searched. For you Vets out there who take pride in pouncing on rookie inquiries.

i dont think you can just flip it. the shaft that the steering wheel goes to would be in the wrong spot. i also believe the hoses would sit on the other side as well and i think the bolt holes are at an angle not straight up and down. i could be wrong. if i am sorry just trying to help.
