Rotora big brake kit feels shakey
1 month ago had my mobile mech install my rear rotoroa bbk, everything went fine
decided to let someone else install the front yesterday, the installer said the original owner had accidently mix matched the caliper brackets when he was using it on his car, so he swapped them to where they should be. after install was done, when applying more pressure than normal to the brakes it feels shakey and a bit unstable, the installer said because we swapped the brackets, now the brakes pads need to wear evenly and thats why thats happening and after a few hundred miles will go away....and if it doesnt to buy new brake pads (which i dont want to go through all this hassle if waiting a few hundred miles and buying new pads will not fix the problem)
does his explanation make sense? what would you do if you were me? just wait it out? he says to drive soft on them to avoid damaging the rotors

Do you have the manual to verify if what he's saying is true? I had someone else install mine so I don't know if that's even possible or if they're labeled. I guess apply light pressure to the brakes to make it smoother. Good luck.

mariano, did you use brake shims on your kit? the brakes make some vibration sounds when slowly releasing the foot of the brake pedal

There should be part numbers on the brackets. Also if they are swapped it moves the caliper closer to the "2 clock" position when they should be at the "3 clock" position. I believe it changes the angle the pads bite the rotors a few millimeters difference. This could cause the pads to not bite square on the rotors.

i got a couple for you to check out and compare...
the design in my kit is slightly newer than yours but I'm not sure if they use the same mounting brackets or not...
I'll get back to you on PM on your other questions.
