Default Better Than Springs, Cheaper Than Coils

Anyone looking for a clean simple drop but worried about blowing struts n dont wanna pay the high price of coils than this is the kit that you need to look into. They simply replace the location of the bolts so your car sits lower but the strut and spring travel are exactly the same as stock so you keep that smooth Lexus quality ride. These need no fender or bolt modifications and and dont cause horrible camber wear.
Check out all the posts and these parts work on the 2IS and the 3GS. Close that gap, keep a smooth ride, and keep money in your pockets.

Nice concept, would love to check it out, but $175 fronts + $300 rears = price of used coilovers or new springs already

Not sure where you're getting $600.. more like $670-ish.

..and not having to mess with setting and tweaking and stressing over coils = may be priceless..

..although the most the kit claims to be able to drop it by is 30mm (1.18 inches).. which.. is negligible..

That basically the price for a set of springs. I would just get a set of coils and call it a day. Like someone said, Megan EZs cost between $630-700 depending oh who you get it from.

Slammer1: You will get that drop, but its going to be really hard to notice

the reason i like these is cuz everything else ive used in past cars always had some drawback

Springs= eventual blown stuts
Coils= stiff
Expensive coils= smooth ride but higher money
This kit is a minor drop but i can keep my lexus smooth ride. The ride is why I ended up buying this car in the first place. This car is no true sports car and im not gonna make my suspension like it is. I had a e92 335i before n as great as it was, the daily driving on the suspension sucked. Especially cuz im in hawaii, we need recon for any suspension mods n this allows us to drop without being so noticeable to the police.

If you are curious i have a front n rear set. Front 30mm $100 rear $150

Wait.. what? Are suspension mods illegal in Hawaii?

I'm from Kailua and moving back home with the 350 here soon. Need to know these things..

EDIT: Wow.. first time hearing about this..

Getting back to the topic, RCA = Roll Center Adapter.

"It corrects suspension geometry esp for lowered vehicles.

Many use the RCA kits to drop their vehicles down (instead of using springs or coilovers)...and it wont affect the current ride quality."

Apparently the 2GS and 3GS guys have been using these for a while now, and they look to be safe (as long as the parts are properly engineered - which the SAGE kit is).

As asked to the vendor:

LOL, I believe it can be done on a stock ride. But you will lose ride quality."

Doesn't seem worth the price to me.

Yes Hawaii has recon for everything. Can drop but only so far, license plate has to be on the front n a certain height to the ground, tint can't be darker than 35%, any engine mod falls under recon, etc. n police r pretty strict about it. Tint is $250 per window including the tiny rear passenger ones so can be up to $1750. N if ur car is modded without recon its a ticket n if they feel its a danger to be on the road with it they can tow it

Interesting.

All things considered.. I might do this. I'm dreading messing with coils.. not wanting to mess up my shocks by doing springs.. want to keep my stock ride quality as much as possible.. and need to be able to take the car back to Hawaii soon.

If only they could handle a 40mm kit..

If I knew earlier I would've opt to try this out instead of the swift springs I have on now. How does it handle after install? I'm sure going over bumps in a straight would feel mostly stock. I would like to know how it affects turning, roll, and slalom transitions.

Considering the fact that it doesn't change suspension geometry, they're most likely going to be the same.
