Harsh ride after suspension parts replacement
I had the lower ball joints and outer tie rods replaced with Moog. Also had the bushings for lower control arm 1 and 2 replaced with Roca, because there was movement in one. New strut mounts Monroe, because the shock rod on top of one was pushing to the side. Allignment was done and caster could not be adjusted within limits (only cross caster is acceptable), but I am not very familiar with allignment. Caster is 6.9 degrees. In the print-out I got from the mechanic says that negative caster could cause reduced directional stability and returnability. I do have reduced returnability. I wanted rubber bushings, so that the ride would not be affected.
However, the ride feels very harsh now. I feel all iregularities of the road. I feel vibrations both through the steering wheel and the seat. It was not nearly like that before. I hate it. It gives me a headache. Could it be from the bushings or the allignment? I spent enough money on suspension already. Am I stuck with it now?

check your tires... mine were feathered and no alignment in the world could fix it after the suspension updates.. feathered tires do cause a lot of noise and a rough ride as well... I'm just waiting for the winter to pass to get new tires..

Where did you get those parts installed?

Considering the GS doesn't not have any caster adjustment from the factory, it is what it is...
The GS has a fair amount of positive caster from the factory to help it steer a little lazy for the old people that would be buying these cars.
Unless you've got a bend lower control arm or radius/caster arm not much to do. I wouldn't worry too much about the caster numbers, as long as they are close and cross caster is in check.
If this is first suspension refresh you've had in 184,000 then you feeling way more road then you have been. Old mushy rubber bushings can actually make for a comfy ride if they aren't deteriorating away and are still intact just wore.
