Default Brakes and Bearings

I am hearing the Squeal from my front brakes in my 2006 lexus Is350, so I am getting ready to change the front brakes. Its been yrs since I have changed the brakes on a RWD vehicle and then it was 2wd work trucks where you replaced the bearings when you did a brake job. It appears that this car has a sealed bearing hub assembly, so I assume there is no reason to change this unless there is a problem?

As far as I know that is correct. Just the pads and rotors if needed. Very simple job. I did my pads and rotors last weekend in about 2 hours total (not including putting the car on stands and removing the wheels).

Wheel bearing last a life time these days unless you get into an accident or race your car (abuse).

You are correct sir...integrated bearing in the hub assembly. You can replace the rotors and of course the brake without messing with the bearing.

Be sure you buy a hardware kit for the brakes that you are replacing. These consists of boots for the caliper pins and the anti-rattle springs. They are typically available for around $15 and well worth the piece of mind. No point going to the trouble of doing a brake job, and reusing the old hardware....

^I've reused the front and rear brake hardware with new brake pads; no issues.
