How do shocks & springs work?

My stock shocks were leaking so went for the Tokicos assuming they were very close to stock.
Been driving stock shocks+springs for 2 years so yeah definitely takes adjusting..

To be clear- The F-sport springs are progressive... so it's impossible to "match" shocks to them since the rate changes.
That's one of the problems with progressive springs, and why people sometimes describe the F-sport setup as "floaty" or rough on harsh roads, it's impossible for the shocks to be "perfect" for both the softest initial rate AND the firmest progressive rate.
That's one of the many reasons linear springs (as used in the sport package suspension, and most coilovers) will provide superior handling.
