if installing spc joints. i used ball joint press ( rented at local autoparts store ) and a adjustable pitman arm puller. to pop the ball joint thread from the arm and the ball joint press to intially pop the original ball joint and to press the spc plate to the control arm. i just replaced these, so let me know if you need help with them or get stuck
I ended up using the oem replacement and so far this morning it fixed my issue. i will hang on to the spc joints just to make sure these ball joints dont leave me stranded. lol
For anyone who wants to just replace the ball upper ball joint and does not want to go the spc route. I used these

^^^ I was going to purchase the Moog upper ball joints but what made me look the other way was the awd only application info. Unless someone can validate that the awd control arm is the same as the rwd model I would assume it would fit as well.

Just want to thank you again for the tips on the tools it made the job much easier to do.Took me awhile to figure out how to use the the ball joint press but after i did one the second arm was easier to work on.
