Question Lowering my is350 I need your help!

Hello recently my back shocks gave away they make noise when I start the car and drive it. So I thought this would be a good time to change them get new springs as well and lower it. But idk much about springs, coilovers and could use some info on each and maybe some good brands I wanted to go with f sport springs and shocks. I just want to know which are the best and make the drive quality good. Thank you!!

I would do a search as there are many many threads on this already but depending on what your goals are and how low you want to go, budget, road only or track, ext there are many options. For the price of new springs and shocks you are probably better off going with coils. The two most common ones are Megans ($600-$700) or BC racing ($900-$1000). Both can be purchased from vendors here on the forums.

Yes if you get coilovers the spring and strut are combined into one unit..Ride quality will suffer no matter what you put on compared to stock. However with coilovers you have the ability to adjust the ride (at least i know that to be true for bc racing). The best feature of the coilover is that you will have the ability to adjust ride height to your satisfaction. You can raise the car up in the winter to stock ride height and slam it down in the summer.

Check out the supporting vendor's section on CL. There are a few vendors that sell them.

Classified section of the forums..Make sure you get the right ones for your car as they are different for AWD and RWD...Other than that check the vendors as Jones said or do a google search. FYI im pretty sure Megan Racing and BC Racing are the only ones who make coilovers for AWD

If you have the extra $$$ I would go with a coil over set up rather than just springs or springs and shocks. Coil overs give you the ability to adjust where as the height of springs are pre-determined.

Check out CL vendors as well as the classifieds section for some new or used coil overs. Good luck OP.
