Default Homemade rca spacers

This is probably not for everyone and I know some people are gonna be all negative, but thats fine.If you search for how rca spacers look like for isf and some other cars they also have these "block" style spacers. I did this for myself and have been driving on these for close to 1k miles already. I had a set of old lbj when I installed my new ones and came up with the idea that if I cut them up I can use them as spacers to clear my ls brakes. I dont have a step by step on how to do this but its pretty simple. All you have to do is cut up your old ball joints, drill the bottom out so that the guide pins will fit, smooth out any rought edges, paint any exposed areas, and reinstall. I used grade 12.9 bolts and also hardened washers along with a dab of blue locktite. Torqued to 85 ftlbs and done. Here are some pictures.

Btw, you should check out why that lower arm is drenched wet. Is that oil from your suspension tube?

When you stated "drill the bottom out so that the guide pins will fit" were you referring to the metal tabs on the ball joint you just cut to use for the spacer? Drill them out so that its just an open hole?
