Default BBK from g35/37 or 350/370z?

Has anyone actually tried to do the swap for a BBK made for the Infiniti/Nissan based cars on the IS?

Anything is possible...it is just easier to purchase a kit that is made for the model. BUT, if you come across a sweet deal on a kit not for the model you can always get custom brackets made up.

Well, either you can do an IS350 caliper upgrade or go all-out on a true BBK. For the price, I personally like this kit :

Those are looking good for the price. I found another setup, but it's a step down compared to the 6 pot you have posted to a 4 pot. Its a nice modest upgrade with wilwoods from RevolutionBrake LLC in which I think can be a good run for the money vs a new set of is/gs350 caliper upgrade. http://search.store.yahoo.net/yhst-4...onbrake.com%2F

x 2 !!

you should consider doing a ISF BBK upgrade.

as for the ebay kit, id stay away.
i had ordered a not so popular brand off ebay for my previous car, ran into problems and finally when installed, although it was a 6 piston, because the pistons were smaller then my 4 piston caliper, my 4 piston had a overall better bite to them. 6 piston doesnt always mean better especially with these cheap kits

^Agreed

I asked because in the end brakes are universal..
so you can basically fit anything within a rotor..

just looking for a good combo without having to spend 5k plus for a BBK..

In no way is that link a cheap brand, matter of fact its WILWOOD, hell of a brand, but the price IS cheap.

Too bad 4 piston is all they offer.

Buy a kit that is made for the car. I wouldn't use another makes brakes.

well the kit i owned by Wilwood for my g37 sucked. my installer whos installed all sorts of bbks also said the kit sucks compared to the OEM s type bbk the car comes with. i was very disappointed with its performance
