ball joints
I went in for service today as my steering was a bit off.
Turns out my left lower and upper ball joints need replaced.
They quoted $900 installed. is there an alternative? Could I order my own ball joints somewhere else?
I came across these online:
http://www.iapdirect.com/spc-front-a...250-is350.html
Would these work for both the upper and lower?

Being that the IS is a strut suspension, you have lower ball joints and no uppers. They are available from Sewell for $71.44 each (with the CL discount). I would recommend ordering them from Sewell and calling around to a local shop for a quote on installation if you aren't willing to tackle the job yourself.

I'm sorry but you are both incorrect, the 2IS is an Independent, double wishbone with coil springs with monotube gas shock absorbers and they do have an upper balljoint.

Are the upper and lower ball joint parts the same??? Can I order 4 of the same ball joints and replace both sides in the front?

Sorry, most of that is foreign to me. Would buying SPC adjustable camber kit be a cheaper resolution than what dealer will do?
