I'll check the crossmember too when I replace the LCA. is the torque spec correct below? I saw it on one of the posting. I look at alldatadiy under crossmember it does not have the torque specs.

Hmm a quick search would have saved you hundreds of dollars! The problem is your BRAKES. The free floating caliper design lends itself to this sort of popping when you apply the brakes especially when the wheel is turned.

Now to the fix:
There are some plastic sleeves in the calipers where the sliding pins go. Replace them (very cheap) then relube the pins. Viola no more popping!

Thanks for the advise. I'll look into it too. Can you pinpoint in the diagram below.

He's referring to the "sliding bushing" of possibly the "dust boot" in your diagram.

Replaced the front left LCA today. The bushing is completely worn out. Hopefully, I can do the front passenger side tomorrow.

After 2 days, finally I was able to replaced the front passenger side LCA. The cam bolt matted with the bushing. After multiple attempts heating with propane, hammering, prying and sliding back & forth, the bolt came out. Also, I had it aligned.
What a difference in the ride plus no more popping sound.

Thanks for all your help and advise.
