The cheap ones they sell for Supra on Ebay will work. You will need to add 2 washers on the Strut bolts to give it more clearance. It will fit fine with more than enough threads left.

I was told by someone in the community that adding washers kind of defeats the purpose of what the strut bar is suppsed to do.

It adds too much cushion. He suggested using those metal/plastic strut mount points.

Any issues you may have - had to remove emblem off of the SC400.
would you mind clarifying what type of engine you have in your sc300...stock? or is it the supra TT?

Default What about '99

Anybody know of or have experience with a strut bar that will fit a '99 sc3? Everytime I see one for sale, the specs say 92-96 only. Any thoughts?

Hmmm, I just tried on the JIC bar on a SC400 and it didn't even come close to fitting with the short angle on the driver side...the long angle side hit the intake tube and wasn't even close to fitting. When I switched it around, it seem to ALMOST fit but it need a spacer...

I have found a easy spacer solution for both the SC300 and the SC400...I will be posting picts pretty soon along with parts numbers...

I also noticed that some of you put regular "washers" on there...uh, that's not a good idea folks...I also noticed that the nut was also at the very top of the bolt....luckily, my JIC coilovers have longer studs so I think with the spacers that I'm doing, I should still have plenty of threading...

Has anyone found a strut bar that fits the SC400 with no modification? I like the emblem on my engine and don't want to remove. it.

That's what I thought. I just glad that there other suspension mods that do a better job making the car handle better.

So you'd rather keep a completely useless emblem on top of motor that you look at how often (???) over a functional piece of suspension? Come on....even if it DID fit over the logo, you wouldn't be able to see the logo because the bar would be covering it!

Default Adjustable STB

BTW, adjustable STBs are quite useless, unless each side of the bar is held by at least 2 bolts, the single bolt will act as a hinge. TRD's JZA-80 bar is the best design since it's non-adjustable, but I guess it doesn't fit SC (it does on my '95 LS400). So, the question is, is there a non-adjustable STB that fits SC ?
