Default DF210 with 20s?

I have a 2000 gs300 platinum series and I have staggered 20 inch ADR design rims on stock suspension and shocks atm, I was wondering if I just get either Tanabe NF210s or DF210s installed. Would I it be required to get new shocks or would I be fine, since I don't really drive my car hard or anything and would my front tires rub? Since they're 20s.. sorry I'm clueless. I just got this car not too long ago and I've been dying to change my ride height. Lol, and hence I can't afford coilovers atm either, don't really need em since I'm just going for looks. Help me out!! edit: I have about 140xxx miles. edit: the tires im running are all 245/35/20 and im leaning towards bc coilovers.

If your going for looks, I would suggest the DF210's. I would also recommend getting new shocks as well based on your miles. To keep the budget low you can get some KYB GR2's... But u can run the springs with the stock shocks, but it'll wear faster.

As for rubbing it would depend on your tires. I would recommend running 245/35/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rear. This should give u the look u want.

I agree, I have 20in wheels running the same tire sizes GSdarksol recommended on DF210, its the perfect drop, I tried the NF210 first time around and the car was sitting to high

You car will be fine with 20's with either NF or DF. The DF does drop lower though. I was running DF's with 225/35 front and 255/30 rear just cuz the offsets were a little more aggressive. Here's how it would look on 20's with DF's

I'm running 245/35 fronts and 285/30 rear on DF210's and there is no rubbing at all but my offset is pretty conservative. Good luck!

edit: I would also recommend replacing your struts at the same time, if you can afford to, since you're already getting the labor done or doing it yourself.

Is your tire set up on stock shocks? Got almost same tire set up like yours and wondering if keeping stock shocks come into to play since they been "settled" from the years.

The previous owner of my car was a senior driver (aka slow and safe lol) so when I dropped it the stock struts were still in great condition so I kept them. I only put about 3k miles a year on my car. If your car has high miles on the stock struts/shocks and you do a lot of driving on bad roads I would go ahead and replace them.

That height looks good!

DF210 is the only non-coilover spring I would consider

Me too glad I did my research before I bought anything. I'm extremely pleased with the way the car sits, it's a soft spring too. I have 19's and the stance is nice

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

For all you that have recommended and/or installed the DF210's with 20's what specs did you use to align your car?

I also got the KYB GR2 shocks and am doing the suspension swap this weekend and will wait a week or two after to swap out my 18's with the new 20's and get the alignment done right after.

Spec's please folks!!!

I dont have specs from when I had my DF's and 20" wheels, but expect some camber wear even after you've aligned the vehicle. unless you purchase some FUCA's for adjustability, you can expect this to happen up front, and for the rears, LCA's should do the trick...best of luck
