Default Fsport springs on awd question

I'm really considering buying the fsport springs for my awd just because I want a small drop. Do you think I should just have the dealer install them? Also how many miles have people gone with these springs having no problems?

The dealer will charge you an arm and a leg. A year ago (before I decided to get coils) I asked how much it would be and they told me 1k for parts and labor.

I paid less for my coils + install.

OP, I suggest you look at pictures of an AWD dropped on F-sport springs before making your purchase. It's not worth it in my opinion. Spend a little more to get Megan EZ coils, and you wont regret it down the line.

The only reason I don't want coliovers is cause of the winters here. I don't want them to rust and have the sleeves seize on me. I'm also worried about the vibrations, I don't want my car shaking when I drive

I have the F-Sport set up and I love it. It's not too low and gives you a nicer look. I bought it here on the classifieds. If you get a set that's already fully assembled, the install is super easy!

I have the RWD IS350, but I've seen a thread on here where someone with a Matador AWD do a f sport setup. It looks nice.

No vibrations, but the ride is a little more bumpy then expected. I chose to go with this setup to avoid the extreme camber wear on the tires. Right now I'm running -1 for the front and -1.5 for the rear. And my toes aren't bad either.

That's understandable, but don't say I didn't warn you

Have you seen pics of them though? There are people running them on AWD. So you should do a search and make sure it's for you

F-sport springs look decent on RWD. AWD models are higher off the ground. F-sport springs make the AWD look like stock RWD height.

You wont have crazy camber with coils. It also depends on how aggressive your wheels are

Im tucking tire with 20s and I only have between -2.2-2.5 for the front and rear.

F-sport springs look decent on RWD. AWD models are higher off the ground. F-sport springs make the AWD look like stock RWD height.
With Fsport springs on a RWD, the ride height will look the same as a BMW or Audi stock. With AWD you may not even be the same as a stock RWD, the drop is that minimal. It shouldnt even be called a drop, its a huge waste.

OP make sure you know what you want and what your car will look like. I debated Fsport springs too and decided to get coils.

The dealer quoted me almost 700 for spring install and alignment. How long do you think the awd can be lowered for without any mechanical problems caused from the drop?

lol springs install shouldn't cost more than 200, and alignment shouldn't be more than 100-150
no problems as long as you're like 24.5" or above, fender to ground
i'm awd on h&r and i'm like 25.5-26 (depend which corner)
