Most people will tell you to go with coilovers. I will agree!

Coilovers allow for adjustability both in ride height and in damping allowing you to control the overall look and feel of your ride. Best part is... if you decide you want to go lower or raise it up, you can quickly and easily do that! With springs, you are stuck with what you get... no changing anything. Also, there are several coilover options for the 2IS's that ride very similar to stock, so you don't loose that OEM feel. I have the Megan EZ Street coilovers (one of the most popular among the 2IS crowd along with BC racing coilovers). They are very affordable coming in at around $650 shipped from our vendors here on CL. BC racing coils are a bit more, coming in at $1000, but they have adjustment settings and are completely rebuildable so that is a plus if you plan on keeping your car for a very long time.

I have been looking at both for some time (I take forever to buy anything lol) and it would be coilovers all the way... but now I am looking at air... I am never going to buy anything because I can't make up my mind!

Haven't got mine yet, but coilovers all the way. Do it once and do it right.

Koni now makes shocks for the 2IS. Perhaps a Koni + H&R spring combo, if you don't care for coilovers for whatever reason.

Just purchased some H&R springs for my car.

I wanted coilovers but read quite a few posts on here about lowering an AWD too much causes issues. I want the exact same ride comfort with a better stance.

Plus it's my daily and I won't need to raise or lower it for whatever reason.

The Megan Lps and BCR coilovers are fairly similar the difference between the EZ streets and the Lps are the adjustability with the dampers I believe. The EZ streets and Lps are not the same ( I have the Lps and my iS is my Daily.) Also they are in the $850 range

I would suggest coilovers all the way...i have had springs before and coilovers are better because of adjustability which equal looks... the best value for money, in terms of adjusting, comfort, reliability I would say BC coils 12/10...it has a good spring rate and can handle weather aggressive, track or stock use...they run a little more than the MEgan but well worth it from what 99% of the people that switch have said...

I personally am running BC 12/10 and feels perfect and I don't have to run it on stiff settings
