Default lower ball joint and control arm

my 93 sc300 needs a new lower ball joint and control arm and i was thinking of just ordering one from a 93 supra from Toyota because the lexus dealership wants almost 800 but a family member thinks id be taking a big risk using a part that isnt explicitly for my car. Any advice on what i should do and if i can do it what year supra should i use?

update the toyota dealer still hasnt gotten back to me does anyone know some other places to buy the arm from

use the supra lower control arm, they are 250$ each. I ordered mine from a 96 supra and it bolted right on. the bushing design is slightly different, but since you are not replacing the bushings then you don't have to worry about it.

No need to worry, they fit perfectly fine and they just have stiffer bushings. Saves you a lot of money and you wont run into any problems
Plus supra ball joints are serviceable

Do the Supra TT and N/A have the same Front LCA? According to some sites, they have different part numbers, with the TT having much more expensive ones.

On ebay they sell front control arms for $180 BOTH and they have rubber bushings insterted

should look up SC300 DORMAN CONTROL ARMS

..also people say just replace the bushings but has anyone ever had a problem with the ball joints being damaged.. im trying to replace my bushings but dont want to find out the ball joints are damged as well the car has over 200k miles

Dorman doesn't make a lower control arm, you're probably looking at uppers.

Supra LCA is the the only way to go.
