Toyboxx,
I have saved that in my notes for the next time. I am going to chicken out on this one and take it to a shop. I will take these notes with me to the shop as well. I put on the SS lines and it was my first time touching my brakes. As this was the outcome 9not perfect), i want a pro to touch them next. I often fear general mechanics won't know idiosyncrasies of the Sc so I am happy to have notes to show them.
If you come up with anything else to add to the list for them, please add it.
Thank you,
SG
I'd like to go to a place with a bleeder machine.

Glad to be of help though! Can't wait to see what else you have in store for your car!

You probably did everything correct like I did when replacing the lines, but I guess while I was changing the lines I let the brake fluid reservoir get low and allowed air into the BMC.

yep flush it all out or atleast 90%....brake fluid absorbs moisture so even if you bleed it its still isnt good enough...best way is to suck as much as you can out (no homo)of the master cylinder fill with fresh fluid then bleed the rest out...about 70% of the fluid is in the cylinder 30% in the lines good luck!

Is this actually brake fluid??
Got the brakes flushed and MC and brakes bled. The mechanic called me in to show me the cup of brake fluid that came out of the car supposedly. It was white and cloudy. He said someone must have put the wrong stuff in there. Any idea what it was or what happened? He seemed alarmed by it but I don't know him, trust is limited.

What the? Looks like someone took a leak in there lol, I never seen it that color before. Its usually light/clear/gold something similar to cooking oil. When its dirty its gets dark but never seen it yellowish/milky. Probably mixed the wrong stuff. Good thing your getting that out of there tho
