Bought 92 SC300 factory 5spd for 1k today. One problem!!
Ok I finally got the guy ive been haggling with for the last month to sell me a 92 SC300 factory 5spd for 1,000. He couldnt get it running but turns out all it needed was an ECU. After I put the ecu in it fired right up. The car has 174k on the odometer and car needs a lot of tender love and care but ive got planty of times since I plan on fixing it up for my 14yr old after we finish my 94 sc400 for my 16yr old.
The car sounds great and runs great EXCEPT when you go into a right hand turn if you normally had to turn the steering wheel to say 2 oclock with this car you have to turn it almost to 4 oclock. At low speeds it turns fine but at hwy speed it will freak you out the first time you turn. Im thinking bushings???

Check front control arms, rack and pinion and steering assy. It is biger problem than bushings. Sorry but I will not sugar coat it.Jack it up and inspct everything, don't drive it like that.
