brakes and beans...
hey romlin...you wanna do a performace brake shootout sometime?
Stock vs Supra vs AP
We all know who the favorite would be to win, but it would be interesting to see the score.
so tomorrow before lunch, I'll give you a call RMMGS4.
Romlin, if you wanna stop by I'll call you to.
as for today's lunch...i'm okay, but i didn't eat the beans. That's my policy when it comes to eating at mexican restaurants.

I got my G-Tech pro and tomorrow is a sunny day !
Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
I thought I was immune to any ill effects of Mexican food by now with all the business trips I've taken over there. I even drink their water ! Actually I think it was the Holy Guacamole.

It would be interesting to see if you can try to stop your car in a shorter distance without getting the ABS to kick in. If we wanted to do this test more fairly, we should use the same brand of tires/wheels all around. Probably one of the biggest variables.
In any case, I believe you used my G-tech to measure your stopping distances before you did the AP brake mod. So I think that would be some good data to reference from.
I can also take you on some sharp right /left angle turns to show how my LSD will spin the inner tire.
Synergy might be coming by on Saturday, so that's another opportunity.

maybe do it some time next week during lunch again? i think that's better, weekend i am trying to stay with my gf as much as i can (you know, i just have 2 days every week)
i can tell you up front it would be hard for my abs not to kick in. if i do hard braking, the brake is so powerful that it can lock up the rotors very fast

talk about a hi-jacked thread
sorry elclassico...
this will be my last post on this thread...promise. gotta go sleep sometime...
romlin...in order to do a proper test, I think it would easily run longer than the lunch hour.
Most of our suspension setup are the same...but wheel and tires are a different story. In order to do a proper test, we would need to standarize the wheel and tire combo and install it into each car before doing the run. Imagine swapping out tire combos on 3 different cars...we'll that's all i can think of now to limit the amount of variables during the test.

It sounded more pronounced today after I got my coilovers put on. However, they never removed the wheels during the installation. [/B]

Almost all the local CL members go to this shop to have their work done. Hermosa is getting coilovers and a turbo install on his SC as we speak.
I saw them install Jawnthen's coilovers w/o taking off the wheels. This shop has got the process down to do the install on GS's. Can't do this at home unless you have a lift !
