8.5-9inch rim???
you mean to fit the 13.5 inche rotors?

well, i know if you get the right rims (high disk) some 17 CAN fit, but i would say 18 to be safe.

The biggest frustration I have with brake upgrades is not knowing whether one will fit the rims I have. One thing steering me toward a StopTech kit is that they offer fitment diagrams for their kits. I haven't taken the time to match up their template with my rims but I hope to do that soon.

Here's their brake kit offerings:

http://www.stoptech.com/cgi/Products...s&match2=exact

Here's a link to their 13" rotor fitment diagram:

Anyone else have or has considered this kit?

They have a 13" and 14" rotor kit, w/ 4 piston calipers, steel lines, etc. Looks like a NICE kit.

Looks nice man,
if u want to do that more power 2 u,
but i might suggest 4 u to do the supra brake upgrade,

rock solid stops,
u just need good 2 piece rotors

Now that i know my ***** i can tell u, 2 piece rotors cost like
$670 US, pads extra, grab the calipers for like $250 used, rebuild them and your all set,

all for under $1100.

TRUST!!!, going to bust project MU 2 Piece Rotors first before spending big money.

but i'm sure that will be fine, I deep freeze the rotors to last longer as well.

After months of trial and error and warping of rotors, i have spent like $1800 U.S. and come up with this. ......

my mistakes are your treasures

glad to help anyone not to go through what i've gone through

yeah i know all about stoptech. actually i used their fitment chart, but change the dimensions to reflect changes on the ap racing and brembo kits to see the fitment. in GENERAL if you have high disk wheel setup and it's 18+ you are pretty safe, but that's how i did it nonetheless.

if you are interested you can always ask stillen or brembo to give you their fitment chart, they all have it.

stoptech is ok, i believe they are domestic, and from the reserach i have done, they are pretty much like copying brembo stuff. not really sure about their performance though. couple months ago c and d had a review on them and it was pretty good

actually i don't really suggest using too thick of a spacer on the wheels, it's not good for handling and safety of the car from what i heard. and it kinda makes sense too, you are putting another "variable" between the wheels and the rotor hat.

to me 5mm spacer is about the max i would put on. anything more than that, i will try to save up and get wheels

umm, i didn't have a choice man,

i started something without the proper research, i was just so hyped up about getting bigger brakes that the cons didn't occur in my head.

My problems: Have to use the stock 17inch chromes in the winter, because not only the brake conversion barely clears the rim,
I can't use 16inch tires for winter.

I know what your saying about the spacers, but i'm using 15mm in the front, i got 20 mm for the back to even the look out,
everythings fine, not a single complaint.

handles nice,

I TELL U EVERYTING............. (madd TV )
