Hey,
Im thinking about getting a BBK for my IS350, and was wondering what is the general consensus on the 'best' BBK for the money?
Are the F-Sport BBK's worth it?
Today i bought a ceika BBK its an 8/6 pot setup, as far as price goes it was the cheapest bbk ive seen on the market. BUT i did not buy it just because of that reason, i went with cekia because the have the most options on size and they are extremely customizable as far as colors/finishes and rotor choices. When i get them ill put up my thoughts on them in my build log. really the only other kits i looked at were f-sport and stop tech aside from ceika. research all the options before you make such a big move like a BBK. theres also a BBK thread check that out for alot of info
for the money, thats kind of subjective from person to person. if you arent really put the car through the paces, you wont feel a big difference from your 4 piston you have up front already
i personally was thinking of the f sport brakes just from a wheel clearance perspective vs the factory 4 pot thats stupid wide
Brembo, F-Sport/Stoptech and Rotora are all going to do the same thing and stop the same. Unless you track your car, its simply for aesthetics so pick your favorite style caliper.
How much of a difference in stopping power do yall see?
on regular daily driving you won't tell which stop better or quicker....only tracking them will you really see a difference and because they are all about the same 8/6 you won't really see a major difference...IMO
Problem with futura is their site has bin down now for like 2 1/2 months. No pricing or anything. In my opinion isnt a good way to market. Not taking anything away from their quality which im sure is up there.
I want all the advantage I can get when it comes to stopping my butt and avoiding a wreck.
Tires and Your reaction time attribute to stopping power (distance). A BBK (any) will assist in braking behavior under extreme circumstances like heat and the frequency at which you apply the brakes.

you could just save the money and do better pads, lines, and fluid. the factory 4 pot isnt a bad brake at all really. i bet it would be night and day difference and not hit your pocket as hard........ unless you just want to spend the cash
The factory 350 brakes are suited well enough for heavy-duty DD'ing and occasional track days. If you want a change in your braking, change the pads and fluid.
