Default Lexus IS350 2007: Please Help with Lights

Hello Club Lexus! Sorry I'm new to this club and i would love advice on my problem.

So for the past couple months, my Lexus' lights would turn off while I'm driving... Whether it be the left, right, or even both. I found a temporary solution: once i notice a light turn off, i would turn my lights off then on and both would be on. However, at times, they would only stay on for 5 seconds or so... One of my friends told me that my lights are probably about to die... So are my lights about to die? Does anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? Please help! Keep in mind I have no knowledge of lights! PLEASE HELP!

First off, welcome.
Second, wrong section.
Third, we you say lights...you mean the headlights, correct? Do you have HIDs or Xexon? Guessing HIDs. In which case you might need to be looking for new bulbs or ballasts or BOTH.

GL with the troubleshooting!

first you would have to see if you have aftermarket lights and what not.
If you do, you would have to check the ballast and bulbs, since both lights are going out i would suggest you replace the bulbs or unit.

If your car is base, you would have to replace the whole unit (Bulbs and ballast)
If your car is above the base model it should come with HIDS standard and therefore you only have to replace the bulbs.

Oh boy, we surely have an auto-novice on our hands here. But you know what, we all were at one time.

Follow the questioning above to help narrow down what you might have.
