I strongly believe there is nothing better than OEM. I never buy any replacement parts that are not OEM unless they are simply no longer available (for example, on my Supra). These are the folks who engineered your vehicle to begin with, they are going to have the best parts for your car simply because they know the ins and outs and have done countless tests on each before the car ever went into production. Try Sewell Lexus for a cheaper price, but stick with OEM.

When replacing the control arms, there is a ball joint that needs to be extracted. Is there a special ball joint extraction tool just for the Lexus? If not, any advice on how to remove the ball joint?

If you're not going to re-use the ball joint, hammer that sum***** out, pry it out with a fork, whatever gets it done. If you need to re-use it, a standard ball joint removal tool will suffice, nothing Lexus-specific is required. I would not recommend re-using ball joints, unless they're brand new. Otherwise might as well do it while everything is apart.
