Default Rear Brake Recommendation

Hey everybody!!

Unfortunately my rear passenger side rear brake has been some really loud grinding noise, similar to a metro train. So im guessing its time for some replacing.

Anyone have any recommendations where I can find a good deal on OEM rear brakes and rotors?

Thx all

have you checked the pad depth to be sure that it is worn? One time my front brakes squealed up a storm whenever I stopped but I took off the pads, pads were still good, cleaned with brake cleaner, applied new anti squeal grease, and problem solved.

You can check the depth by looking from the center of the rotor to the pad which has a gap down the middle. Its just like tread on a tire

In addition to checking the outer pad thickness, it might be worth it to pull off the wheel and check the inner pad as well. The rear brakes are sliding calipers, so the inner pad usually will wear faster than the outer pad. Also, if the slide pins are seized you could have a perfectly good outer pad and a worn inner pad.

That's what I think is going on! My outer pad is in good condition while it seems like the inner pad is grinding, to the point where I have metal grinded dust (if that makes sense) on the inside of that wheel. The sound is so damn bad Im embarrassed to drive the car in around smh.

Thanks for the tips & any word are greatly appreciated!!
