Wouldnt raising you car an inch on your 19s have the same result? Doesnt matter the size rim. Raise your car if you cant deal with the vibrations.

you'll be alright man, im dropped to the point of no finger gap, its been this way since before summer. my boots arent torn. just dont drive too aggressively (drifting, flying off exits, etc) lol. My only option is to trade the car in for a rwd Lexus because I cant bring myself to ride in a stock height IS.

Yes because you'd be raising your fender to ground height. 24.5-25 remember?

It might not be the fact that you lowered that is causing the problem. I have a completely stock 07 250AWD and both rear CV boots leaked at about 80,000 miles. It was covered by my Lexus extended warranty.

here I am about a year later. the same CV boot that I replaced a year ago by firestone has tore yet again. this time, not from flying off of an off-ramp exit. apparently, this is from my flooring it all the time. I like hearing my intake and midpipe, but really? since when does flooring it tear your boot?

so I kept digging and asking the mechanics and one guy suggested one of my engine mounts could be bad, placing added stress on my boot. so they did this test where the driver held the brake and gas at the same time to see how the engine moved when accelerating. each time the gas was pressed, it would fall towards the boot that tore.

so their prognosis was my engine mount was going bad.

any opinions on this? or has anyone had this happen to them? pretty sure no one tears the same CV boot twice......... in less than a year...........

^That's a good guess if any. Hope that fixes it for you. By the way, Megan sells aftermarket mounts (engine & trans) : http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEGAN-3pc-Transmission-70A-Engine-Mount-IS250-IS350-06-13-GS300-GS350-06-11-AT-/231250364427?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ALexus%7CModel%3AIS250&hash=item35d798880b&vxp=mtr
Perhaps the stiffer poly mounts will help with reducing the flexing the factory mounts provide?

CV boot tore again. this is the 3rd time. Car is currently at firestone again. I'm really confused why this continues to happen.

is it possible for the coils to lower on their own over time? perhaps my coils have lowered on their own past the tolerable threshold for an AWD vehicle. so now my boots tear faster than ever? really looking for some solid advice because i'm not sure how many more CV boots i can get from firestone on their axle warranty.

Did you ever measure the height of your car as others had suggested to you before? You need to make sure you are not to low with the awd drivetrain. As others have pointed out 24.5" from the top of the wheel opening to the ground is about the max. You may need to adjust even higher than that since you are having problems.

^I'd say even at that height AWD owners will still be experiencing troubles.

it sits at 24.5" if not 25". i think im going to raise it and inch in the front and see if it makes any difference. What do people usually run the rear at? Ive had no issues back there.

could a bent rim cause the cv boot to give out? I think there might be a slight bend in one of my rims that causes the left side of my car to vibrate at 40-60mph

Vibrations to cause boot failure? Doubtful. But do please fix the wheel issue.
