Default 1997 SC300 Lower Control Arms. any input greatly appreciated!

Hey guys been lurking for a while doing a few DIY and would love to tackle the Front lca's myself since the shop i went to quoted me 700(Lexus Arms) each arm without the labor and well screw that I'd rather break out the elbow grease! I know your all going to tell me to use the search bar when I ask this question and trust me I have, but hasn't answered my question at all. I'm still not sure if the supra LCA's would fit my car I've seen a lot of responses to other posts that say they will and they won't which kinda has me scratching my head . If they do which ones should I buy the MKiV NA's Or the TT's and which year I believe it was 96+ or 93+. any input that would help I'd greatly appreciate guys trying to get this done this week my car has some nasty vibration on the highway everyday I take out to work feels like its going to be my last x-x

Are your ball joints bad? if not just do urethane bushings. if so just use 95 supra lcas. Pretty sure there is no difference tt or na.

LCA's from a supra will fit. It was UCA that had some question to it. If it's just your bushings, then change your bushings. Lexus of Sewell sells em. I would just take the arms, get em pressed in at a shop then put em back on

Awesome thanks for clarifying it for me. I was told my UCAs were going bad to I was thinking of buying megans or battle versions if they sell them. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need an alignment after this?

yes on alignment. I just spent like $146 for both uppers from rockauto or partsgeek or someone along those lines, night and day. That paired with the supra lcas I got from Curt at elmhurst toyota, car feels right again.

When I turn my wheel left or right I hear a clunk/pop sound. The car drives good but I suspect that means my ball joints are gone which means I need new front LCA's.

am I correct?

ball joints usually make a popping sound
a clunk could be a worn strut or a tie rod

After doing the steering rack bushings the only time i hear a pop is when I back out of my driveway on to the street. the driver's side wheel rolls out, hits the ground, and I hear a pop.

I can confirm 100%, you can buy supra lower control arms. I just replaced mine this weekend, with 1995 Supra (TT or NA doesn't matter) LCA for my 99 SC300, and they fit perfectly. Another plus is the Supra LCA have stiffer bushings than stock SC300. You can buy them at Toyota of Richardson ask for Marvin, or Call Fred at Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney, both great guys.

Another couple of notes, if you are doing it your self, mark the position of the eccentric bolt going through each bushing, this is the alignment marks. When tightening the bolts, make sure to jack up the assembly under the ball joint to its natural position, as if the wheel were on the hub and the car on the ground. Bushings have memory and need to be tightened in this position.
