Default BC Coilover with Swift springs

i'm leaning toward BC coils, but is it worth it to spend $300 more for the Swift springs upgrade? vendor says it'll make ride more comfortable for daily drivers. are the regular BC springs good enough? anyone did the upgrade?

I have the standard 10k/8k springs that come with the BC coils, and i find that they are very comfortable. They are slightly stiffer than stock, but with the adjustable dampening on the shock you should be able to find a comfortable setting.

persoanlly i would say for the extra, do it. i made the mistake of thinking the standard BC were enough but they arent. i wish i had done the swift spring option in the beginning. granted my car is slammed so i need a stiffer setup than the standard 10k/8k option.

but if you arent slammed, then i would say the standard 10k/8k is more than adequate

I thought the Swift springs were "stiffer" than the OE BCR springs? At least that's what I've read from other members' posts.

The BC coils come in set ups other than 10/8 configuration. I have the BC 12/10 set up and I think they have a 14/12 set up as well. Just depends on what you are looking to do. I think the swift springs are higher quality and for race application so they are probably stiffer.

Well I say do it you can afford it and want swift springs. I had BC racing 10/8 k and now Stance GR+ 10/8k. I can say my stance is stiffer than BC racing and has less damping. I'm still debating to swap to swift spring myself since I can only go up +2 without touching the valve.

I would definietly upgrade. I had 8k/6k regular BRs and when I maxed them out I purchased the Extreme Lows for moar low lol. I rode around for two years dumped on my BCs and it was so harsh it sucked. I didn't really expect anything different though.....when you are an inch or 2 from the ground it isn't going to ride perfect.

If you are planning on riding slightly lower they can be quite comfortable but anybody that rides on them slammed and says they are comfotable are is lying to you lol. When I first put them on and I slightly lowered it the ride wasn't that bad....pretty compareable to the H&R springs I had prior.

Here's a review from a Subaru guy who bought BC coils. He was going to sell them, then upgraded to Swift springs (same spring rates), and now he likes them.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2214667

I have the BC coils with the Swift springs, 12k front and 10k rear. Car is very comfortable lowered to zero wheel gap. This is the car's second winter at this ride height. One of these days I'm going to borrow a friend's GoPro and take video footage of myself going over bumps and stuff lol

I went with 12/10 spring rate and swift spring upgade from the supplier Circuit motorsports. I cant say an opinion without them but love the ride with them
