Glad you got problem fixed. getting my rear axle problem fixed now. turns out some moron in my cars previous life put a damaged hub back in the car when they replaced the bad bearing, thus causing the new one to fail. doesn't pay to be cheap on the important things.

The noise might have returned. I say might because it could just be the new one breaking in or something. I confirmed the old one was faulty by cutting the boots open and finding that the diff side CV joint was seriously lacking grease, and there was a crack in it before.

Of course, it could just be the other side going bad - hoorayyy.
