Mechanic replaced steering rack bushings. One was left over. What did he miss?
Hi,
A mechanic replaced my steering rack bushings. One was left over. What might he have missed? Is one of them more difficult to see from underneath. I got under there with him and did not see another either. One small bushing and a sleeve was left over from a Figs Lexus GS/SC Polyurethane Steering Rack Bushing Rack kit.
Include diagram/picture if possible so I can show him where it goes.
Boy did it feel nice on the way home anyway!

Anyway, in order to access the second bushing behind the one your mechanic changed, use a pry bar to move the steering rack away once all retaining bolts are loose, just as shown in the thread above.
