Default Supra TT Sway Bars

WoooohoooO! Just got these sway bars in today that I won off eBay.

I wonder how big or little of a difference they will make. I will be using the Supra NA Prokit drop also.

You should probably measure the front one to be sure it's any different in diameter/wall thickness than the stock one that's already on your car
.It's alot of work to install compared to the rear.

Tony,

They are nice. The front IS stiffer because the actual walls are stiffer but the overall diam is identical. Takes 1hr to install the front. However the rear is a pain, 2 hrs to do that..

But they should fit right? No mods needed?

I'm going to have one of my relatives install it for me so he'll take care of me.

I'll be sure to take pictures through out the whole install. I have to wait until the 17th though. That's when my supra tt shocks are coming in...

I CAN'T WAIT!!

Tony,

You need about $180 in Supra Parts to put them on. I have a write up around here somewhere. If you need it, let me know.

I wish I knew supra parts are in such high demand. I have lots of friends in the Dallas area with stock supra parts laying around everywhere. Hell I have stock supra shocks and springs laying in the garage if anyone wants them.

wants? I'll take them...for free!

I just wasted a gangload on a bunch of random stuff...

$180 worth of Supra parts MW? Like what?

It also came with "Bracket, RR" and "Bracket, Stabilizer" 2 of each.

I have a week to get everything needed for the install. Any info would help a lot!

Thanks!

Tony,

You pm'd me, I emailed you back.

You need the rear sub frame cushions, about $80ea. If you have the sway bar mounts then you are set. You better have Steve Ganz or your dealer hookup order them now, they take a while.

Cleansc4,can you measure for me the thickness out at the ends of the bar,I have a bar sitting out in the middle of nowhere, thought it looked like the same thing.
You do have to take the mufflers off in the back, but thats only six or eight bolts.

do what? I mounted mine in 45 minutes; its a piece of cake... you don't need any special parts; the stock links work fine and i used the supratt rubber mounts that came with mine (not like you could reuse em on big dawg bars or anything)...

nice mod; but i wish i had springs/shocks instead...

Bean: so you're saying I don't need those "rear subframe cushions"? I have springs/shocks waiting to be installed once I get those cushions I ordered.

More pictures will be posted later once they're all on my car.

You need the two(2)rear-mostsubframe mounts;they double as swaybar mounts, and are different than the SC ones.

Bean,

It is impossible to use the stock SC mounts to install a Supra TT sway bar in the rear of your car. It would never fit.

Look at the difference in this photo. You would have to STRETCH the bar 2.5" to meet the stock SC mounts. That is not a possible scenario. I think you should take pics and I bet if you did not change the subframe mounts, then you still have a SC sway bar that someone passed off as a supra. Or someone before you swapped the supra subframe mounts before you got the car.
