Default help. squeak noise coming from front drivers side wheel well

Hi CL,

I just had a question and needed some opinions. I have an 08 RWD 350 with about 98k miles on it. Recently I noticed a squeaking noise coming from the drivers side front wheel well whenever I go over bumps, take turns, or even during braking.

I checked it out and noticed that the dust boot on the shock was torn. Initially I thought the shock might have gone out since I'm about at 100k miles, but I didn't see any visible oil leaking or running down the body of the shock.

About 3 months ago I installed an spc adjustable ball joint for that side of my car. I checked that and it seems okay.

What do you guys think it is? I thought either a blown shock or the upper control arm squeaking. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Lube all joints you can and see if the sound continues. Could very well be a bad shock.

if its a squeak it could very well be a rubber bushing. best way to tell would be to remove the wheel and inspect for any cracked or torn bushings.

Ok I think I got a solution, I just put motorcycle chain lube on control arm and ball joints,no squeaking noises, I might have to do this 2 times a months... I let you know dude, by the way motorcycle chain lube is only 9.99 at Walmart

Yeah I lubed both up a couple of days ago like Gville350 suggested and it seemed to go away and reduce the squeak. I think it might have been the upper control arm. I moved it around a lot while installing the ball joint. Hopefully that'll fix it. Thanks for your advice

I should have also suggested my grease of choice, automotive white lithium grease (oil-based). But glad to hear the noises going away!

Just wanted to update, I replaced the bushings on the sway bar when I installed the f sport sway bar and they were indeed cracked and dry. Once I installed the new ones the squeaking stopped. The squeak came back after greasing so it wasn't the upper control arm or ball joint, just the bushings as mike said.

I am getting a squeak from my front driver side as well. Can you please let me know what replacement bushing you used for the F sport front sway bar? If you used the F Sport one can you let me know the part number? I'm thinking about going aftermarket so I can add grease to it. What do you guys suggest? Thanks!

Default Same problem with the noise on the driver side

I have the same issue with the noise on the driver side after installing the SPC camber kit ... I was thinking on switching it to the other side to see if it is indeed the SPC part.. as I think is coming from there (see video)... OEM sway bar.. F-Sports Springs is the only mod to the suspension besides the SPC camber. The car is sitting on 20's.

So, has any figured out which bushing or if its the camber?/?
