online HKS RS is for less $1400 ...anyone have any experience with them? Are they aluminum body?

My current bilstien are aluminum but the springs are as heavy as stock.

The only parts that are aluminum are the top hats and some of the pillowball assembly. The rest is mostly powder coated steel. They weigh less than stock since the springs are a lot less smaller in diameter too. The difference in weight is nothing really, unless you are a hardcore track driver

I would try the BC Racing coilovers just because they can get you custom spring rates to match your driving style.

are these bcr light?... i would consider it... it's cheaper than the hks rs.

I'm looking for lightweight, if possible. i may check our vendor to see what they offer.

Hey everyone. I'm new to the Forums but I've had two second gen GS over the course of two years. Lost the first one due to improper mounting of tires (I did not do this myself..just fyi lol). I currently own a 2002 SportDesign with 14x,xxx miles on it and I'm looking to replace my stock struts. I've heard great things about the BC coilovers but I wanted to see what the extended Lexus Family had to say. And if anyone knows where i can find the coilovers for a good price, I would greatly appreciate that.

Thanks

Hey I am new to the Lexus forums....I have a 98 GS400 and am wanting to do a performance suspension setup. Nothing too major just wanting to drop it an inch or two just to be able to have better handling and performance on turns. I've heard that coilovers are a better setup than a shock/spring combo...any suggestions on what to go with? What brand might be better? I'm always willing to pay more for something that's gonna get the job done right....not trying to cut corners with something cheap. Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks,
Jman

Regardless of what the manufacturers advertised, I would bet that the Daizens won't be any lower than the DF210. The DF210 are typically considered to be the lowest conventional coil available for the GS300/400/430

Default Coilovers or springs?

I'm deciding what I should put on my GS, coils or springs? My budget is around $700 but the less money I spend the better. Pros and cons for both? It'll be my daily drive btw, thanks!

for 700$ I bought some megan ez street coilovers with free shipping in USA this week. Only thing is they seems to be backordered right now. They should be sent next week though. I would go this route (coilovers) since you can adjust them and will drive better. Just the springs is not really cheap if you consider what you get for the price. I was looking at all the possibilty too.
