2012 IS250 AWD upgrading to IS350 calipers - BIG FAILED!
so finally i decided to upgrade my brakes since I just purchased the car and indeed the calipers are very tiny. anyhow, so i decided to order all the parts from Amazon but when i was picking out the rotors there were no option for RWD or AWD. long story short, once i put everything back together with the front wheels, seem like the wheels no longer spin, i double check everything and seem like the rear hub is touching the back.
as for my rear i had to bent the entire dust shield, is that normal? also, I noticed the rear brake pads are NOT touching the rotors 100%. see below for picture and please help!
I'm planning to get the rotors from Autozone or Advance auto for quick fix but their sites does NOT even have a options to pick RWD or AWD.
I did the upgrade with factory IS350 AWD parts from sewel and the rotors dont rub. I'm pretty sure thats whats going on with yours. 2wd rotors dont have the clearence.
You have to check the part numbers for the front rotors. 2010-2013 AWD and RWD is350 rotors are all the same but sometimes vendors might advertise RWD 2006 to 2013 not knowing that they are different part numbers. 2006-2009 are different rotors all together
I gave 2012 IS350 front rotors on my AWD. I would follow this DIY as it explains it more in detail
By the way, rear IS350 brake pads don't naturally touch 100% of the rotor surface. Like you show in your pic above, about 10% of the rotor near the center rotor hat doesn't even get worn.

thanks for the picture, but the rear rotors i installed cover the entire sheild. HAHAHA it's bigger than yours if above is your 350 rotors
This should help you out. When I did my conversion, I used all autozone duralast parts. Its just getting the right rotors with the proper offsets

09-13 Canada-spec are the same as 06-08
09-13 USA-spec are different than 06-08 and 09-13 Canada-spec (32mm thick with directional cooling vanes)
RWD and AWD makes no difference for the IS250.
IS350:
06-08 are all the same (30mm thick, outside-rotor centre vented hub, directional cooling vanes), will not fit AWD models.
09-13 Canada-spec RWD are the same as 06-08, will not fit AWD models.
09-13 USA-spec RWD are different than 06-08 and 09-13 Canada-spec RWD (inside-rotor cooling vane vents), will fit RWD and AWD models.
11-13 AWD are the same as 09-13 USA-spec RWD (inside-rotor cooling vane vents, more clearance for the AWD hub), will fit RWD and AWD models.
thanks for everything guys, so the rear I did the 350 upgraded, i google a lot of photos and confirmed that after the upgraded 350 calipers that the rear approx 10% of the rotors are NOT touching.
as for the front I gave up, i'm done trying to make it work or order more parts.
I'll have brand new is350 and pads for sale. below are the link.
