I plan to change my in about 1 more year...

now about it blew the Caliper? don't see how that could happen.. the caliper is made from Cast Iron.. if any thing should burst.. should be the ss line before bursting the caliper.

Does anyone agree? Plug with any Big Brake kit.. they all comes with SS Line...

Calipers can break. The pistons inside have a rubber seal around them that can go bad. When calipers go bad, the piston will leak or they wont disengage properly and you'll get noise. The structure of a caliper is pretty indestructable. It's the rubber stuff inside and the piston/cylinder that can break.

Thanks Coolguy949. SO a good indication when the leak is happening is that the brake fluid will go down fast.. Monitor Brake fluid...

Everything has a risk when you mod your car...

Yeah....or sometimes there's no leak and the piston just went bad. You'll know that because you'll also have a metalic rubbing noise from your caliper not fully releasing the disc. The rubber is the wekaest part of a caliper, it's ussually the first thing that goes if your caliper breaks. Also, make sure the rubber (if you work on your own brakes) is proberly lubed. You can buy the grease at pep boys. It's called brake caliper lube.

If you want to clean your caliper, just get some Brakleen (really strong degreaser) and spray your whole caliper and whipe it down with a shop cloth. The just re-lube the rubber around the pistons. You're good to go.
