Emerald is right. That bar does very little to "stiffen" the chassis. That wall between the gas tank and the cabin makes the rear plenty stiff. In addition, it is my understanding there is another sort of brace under the rear bench. Though the bar still looks very cool

You could make that rear strut bar yourself. It looks like the regular mounts for the SC with some piping bent to fit.
Em - I don't see how you could say it does NOTHING. It must do something, maybe bad or good but still something.

As some of you here know i've had a rear bar on my car for a lil over year. It was done 'For the sake of doing it'. We did it as a start to my 'Drift' project but I ended up loading the car up with speakers, amps etc. because the trunk is so ugly with the tank in the middle.
Even before the subs n stuff I would take the car out to drift with some of the crews here and I seriously couldnt tell when I had it on or off.
The mounts are not the same as the front.
808SC300: you are correct. there is more bracing...The rear is VERY stiff...almost over-kill with that tank being back there and all of the protection they've provided for it.

it's behind my sub boxed n stuff...fiberglassed and molded into the trunk.
I've been eye-ballin some stereo stuff laying around here...if Im able to get my hands on it i'll re-do the trunk this spring and will be able to have it out. Trunk took a lot of time so I wouldnt want to take it apart without a new setup goin in.

Those things are to keep away animals and insects from the car.....they make a high pitched whistling noise as the wind passes through them...
