How to get firmer / stiffer steering?
I was wondering what parts would I need to swap out or what would I need to do to get my steering wheel to feel stiffer / firmer? I don't like the steering wheel being very loose but I don't like it to be as stiff as a car without power steering (but would prefer it more towards the car without power steering end of the spectrum). Is there anything you guys would recommend to buy/install?

Rack bushings, ball joints/tie rods, and also maybe do the FIGS radius arm/caster arm/whatever you want to call it bushings.
Those radius arm bushings would help the car feel a bit more crisp and tight on turn in I would imagine. Maybe look in to some under bracing too to stop flex.

@ls400love - thank you! i will definitely look into that
@aks14 - i just replaced my stock steering rack bushings with the daizen ones but I think I should've gotten the FIG ones. i''ve been looking into some under braces / sway bars and might pick up the ultra racing ones once I check out more reviews on them. thanks for your suggestions

Yea one of my buddies had the TOMs braces on his GS back in the day with some larger sways, I believe TRD? And the car handled great, steering was still a bit soft but that probably had more to do with the pump and rack and how much assist the rack was getting, but turn in was great, and it handled really well for a larger car.

I agree with AKS14, if you can increase the caster angle, it will increase the amount of steering effort too. I've got about 8.2 degrees of caster on the GS and it requires a little more effort to turn the wheel, but it's definitely not excessive.

@AKS14 - Might look into the Ultra Racing sway bar or the FIGs one that might be in production soon? (saw another thread on the forum).
@MotoEvo - Could you tell me a little more about increasing caster angle? Are there any disadvantages to increasing caster angle? I would definitely be interested in increasing my caster angle.

You can increase caster using the bushings available from FIGS for the #2 caster arm. I believe it gives about 1 degree more of caster. There really isn't a downside to caster increase since the increase in steering effort is what you're looking for, but it can make initial steering response a touch slower. Otherwise, more caster will help with straight line tracking and stability, and cornering.

Yea and also, atleast in my S14, dialing a bit more caster in made the car 'auto correct' a bit quicker which I felt was nice.
Coming around a sharp turn like a U turn you would turn in, give it a little gas, and then if you let go of the wheel while on throttle to push around the turn it would correct much quicker which was nice.
