BC coils 16/12 vs 14/12
Hello,
After much research i have narrowed it down to BC BR coils. After searching through the forums im stuck between 16/12 and 14/12 spring rates. I plan to get the swift springs with these coils.
I was wondering if the 16/12 spring rate would be good for my 07 IS250 RWD or would they be too stiff. Im located in Toronto so there are pot holes everywhere which needs to be taken into consideration.
Any information would help greatly.
Thanks.

BC Racing Coilover Spring Rates
Hello! Since you are looking to get the Swift Spring upgrade then I would go with the 16k/12k if you wanted. Will be a bit stiff but your cars body will travel less.
The material Swift uses for their springs reacts to road conditions smoother and faster than other springs. So they will "feel" softer at the same spring rate than a BC Racing spring.
So basically a 16k Swift spring feels like a 14k BC Racing spring essentially.
We ship to Canada, so if you are looking for a set let me know and I can get you setup.

I have bc's with 16/12 and although they are not swift springs, I absolutely love them. My car is barely tucking tire in the front and sitting on the tire in the rear and the ride is very smooth. I can have a full car without rubbing too much and also do canyon runs at much higher speeds. My wheel specs are: 18x8.5 +27 18x9.5 +32 225/40 and 255/35.
