Intrax.. I have used many types of suspention set-ups and i have never had a spring drop as low as the intrax. The drop of the spring was only to be 1.5 inches. 2 1/4 inches later i'm picking up road dots.

How long did it take before the springs settled at 2 1/2? I would like my car to be dropped about 2 1/2. Did you notice it was 2 1/2 lower righ after you put the springs on?

i used to have KG/MM (gold color) springs.
Those were really low. the rear gap was so narrow that I almost could not put my thumb in between.
In the front I was afraid that it would rub.

I decided afterwards to replace them with coilovers. I do not like my car that low, especially with our bad roads.

I knew someone that had the Tanabe's and 20" wheels and he had NO gaps front and rear, the car sat right on top of the tires! Looked nice and aggressive, but not smushed down!! LOL

WOW I had Intrax on my other GS, and they settled, but not THAT much! They were rated at 1.75, and they went down to about 2inches when it was all said and done

I think if you want to slam your car the most, the best thing would be to go for coilovers.
The installation cost for shocks/springs or coilovers would probably be the same, so probably you would end u paying like $500 more, but with much more flexibility.

If you use the stock shocks and still have for a maximum drop, your shocks probably won't last long. The recommended maximum drop for stock shocks is approx. something like 35 - 40mm (or about 1.4 - 1.6").
If you get shortened shocks then the drop can be different compared to the spring manufacturer's specs.

Also note that the springs manufacturers probably will have some margin, and will not go for the max. drop. Because springs that will be too low and then cause rubbing will probably not sell too well.

well... honestly if you are going to lower your car a lot more than Eibach's/L-tuned, then I would suggest a affordable damper system. With a short lowering spring, I can guarantee that the ride will be harsh. If you are going to replace the shocks, the I suggest you save your money for a coilover kit.

Apexi worldsport dampers gives you the adjustability of 0-4" drop. You can lower it untill the car is on bumpstops. You may not be able to drive on it, but knowing that you can fine tune your ride height with your wheel/tire size is worth it IMO.

BTW I got mines for $850 which is only a few more $$$ than a shock spring combo.

Dgot- hopefully I can get them on the day after X-mas.

I had Espelir springs, 1.8 drop in front, 1.7 in the rear, I LOVED it.
