Default 2009 IS250 AWD Lowered w/ Eibach

Hey guys what's up. New member. Been reading club lexus for few months and decided to take the plunge and lower my awd. Figured I would share my experience.

I decided to go with the Eibach springs for 250 which is 1.4 front and 1 inch rear. Part number 8288.140 . I also ordered a bunch of tien spring silencers from optionsauto.com incase of any clunking. I put a few silencers on the dead coils in back and front. After the install everything seems great. No afs light adjustment was needed and the best news is Very little to zero vibration. There is no wobbling what so ever from 0-20mph. Maybe a hair vibration in wheel when I gas it hard around 40 mph but none at higher speeds. When I'm sitting at the light in drive, with foot on break, there is very very little vibration. Honestly, I had same little vibration before the install. Nothing like what some describe. I left the stock shocks and it rides near oem with the new springs. I would say a little firmer but in a good way. Feels great. I did not cut the bumpstops. Anyway my main concern was the vibration and wobbling and so far its good. Hopefully stays that way lol. Did not get an alignment yet. The fender to ground on 17 inch stockers was 27 inches and now it sits little under 26 inches. I also worried about some of the sagging in rear with other springs and these weren't to bad. I measure the rear to be only 3mm ish lower then the front. Looks pretty even

ugh i hate how our AWD's are so damn high. i plan on getting H&R's but since they have similar drop rates as Eibachs, it doesn't look low enough for my taste. might go Tien S Techs for the more aggressive front drop

Yea I totally agree on how high our AWD sits! I had tien s techs and I got rid of them for coils. Just didn't seem to b low enough.

Thanks! I was gonna do the H n R springs but a few people said ride quality wasn't that great on the awd so went with the eibach. And if I went with the coilovers I know ill slam it too low lol and get the cv boot leak and wobbling etc. Just happy I have no issues so far.

what's the distance from the wheel-well to the ground in the front and back. Mine is 25" in the front, where I know there are eibach springs, and 26" in the rear which I'm not sure about.

I think mine was around that. Just under 26 in rear and like 25 something front. I'm also on 17 inch wheels which play a factor. It should say eibach on the springs and also a part number. People usually use the eibach for is250 or eibach for is350. The is250 eibach version drops the car more.

New wheelsssss ......MRR Eurotek Uo3 Hyper Black 19 inch 8.5 x 9.5 Staggered. 35 offset front 40 offeset rear. 235 35 19 x 275 30 19...... rolling diameter is almost perfect. No issues no vibration. I'm using 73.1 to 60 hub rings. Wish could go lower but have awd. No rubbing.
