I thought it would be too; but coming from the Honda Civic world, I didn't take the car's weight into consideration. So actually is very comparable to stock, but having ride height adjustment AND 30-way adjustable dampers.
I went softer than most in the rear to help with hooking up the rear end off the line. Most think that the stiffer your suspension is, the better your tires will stick to the ground. Well, not off the line they don't! With the 4.08 rear gear and the amount of torque the IS350 produces at lower rpms, you need all the help you can with getting it all to stick off the line.
If I'd do it all over again though, I would get a 14k/10k setup.

I currently run 16k/12k. I decided to get stiffer springs as I figured since theres 32 damper settings, might as well put them to good use.
My buddies which sat in my car for the first time when comparing to their stock GS suspension says its stiff but still maintain OEM ride quality.
So far I do not regret my spring rates.
Most posts i read online suggested 12k/10k or 14k/12k or even 14k/10k.

Also I'm assuming that I could get away with a stiffer rear because the 250 doesn't have any issue holding traction haha

BCR 10/8 on a 250 is slightly stiffer than stock depending on settings. I currently have 12/10 on a 350 and it's close to the same ride quality which is great. 16/12 is definitely stiffer.
