Default Lexus 3IS and other Lexus Models Brake Interchangeability

I own a 3rd gen IS350 F Sport in RWD, and am close to making a decision on some brake replacements. I've done my due diligence and here's currently what I know:

- 2IS and 3IS brake pads are the same part and can be interchanged, via Akebono (ACT1118 & ACT1391)
- 2IS front rotors and 3IS front rotors are the same, via Stoptech

Supporting Threads:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...ke-rotors.html
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ange-help.html

So now, all that leaves is the rear rotors. I have yet to find any information on interchangeability between generations.

Taking all this information into account, will 2IS rear rotors fit the 3IS RWD? If not, what factory rear rotors will fit (GS350 etc.)?

Thanks!

it's best to just use OEM for the specific make/model for rear or ask your local dealer service advisor for clarification.

I wouldn't risk or cut corners when it comes to brakes as such, I have learned the hardway~

I'm aware of that, but there are some 3rd party manufacturers that don't update their compatibility charts. Additionally, I know there are a lot of brake components that are interchangeable (see original post) between the 2IS and 3IS.

The only grey area is the rear rotors, was hoping someone here could chime in.
