RR-Racing USRS or FIGS LCA bushing

Yup, thats what FIGS engineering bushing are. Only problem with their bushing is that you need to machine press the bushing into the housing and it could costs just as much as getting the USRS kit.

unless you have access to a hydraulic press, you will have to pay someone else to get that old bushing out and press in the new one... i'd just buy the billet bracket with the bushing in already. Also, doesn't FIGS offer an OEM bracket for cheaper also ?

sorry i was confused and thought they were all the same and came with the billet bracket like the RR-Racing one. I have access to a press so that is no problem. i will look into the FIGS bushings. thanks again!

This is not the only difference. These bushings see forces in two directions, axial and lateral. Replacing the stock bushing with a poly bushing takes care of the lateral movement, but does not do anything to reduce the axial movement. The main difference is that our bushing is a thrust loaded bushing which will not migrate backwards under heavy braking. We have add a large thrust washer on the control arm end of the spindle which loads up the bushing axially, not just laterally as a simple poly press-in bushing would do. In fact, the axial load is so high under braking, that we designed our USRS with preload bolts to keep the housing from moving.

I just got the RR-Racing USRS bushings installed today on my 2017 IS300 AWD non-Fsport (stock springs, stock 18” wheels) and they are worth every penny.
Pros:
- Reduced the nose diving effect when you brake. The car feels more balanced and stable even if you have to brake hard.
- Responsive handling. You can take tighter turns at higher speed. I have stock springs so I’m sure it will handle even better if I drop it an inch or two.
- More road feedback to the steering wheel (this is also a con if you’re looking for that luxury smooth driving comfort).
- Steering wheel feels a little tighter and again more responsive. USRS=perfect name for a great product.
Cons:
- More road feedback to the steering wheel so you will feel every bump.
Overall, I personally would trade a slight discomfort for better handling and braking but that’s me.
