READY to DRAAWWWWP! the SC - Please advise
Ok, here's the deal. I am in dire need of new shox, so you know that means, time for springs too, since we all know the SC sits too high anyways.
I know there is the SC pkg for the Eibach's that drop an inch.
There's the supra Eibach's that do 1.3 inches
and I guess there's the Espiler ( never seen those available anywhere, but read about them here )
and ProTech in Austin said that Tein has an entry level coilover set for $700.
Now my question is this,...with the shox for the supra, someone mentioned the rear of my car will get jacked up in the air because of the ride height being higher in the rear on a Supra... and in that same post some modification had to occur to use the existing SC rear shock. Has this been everyone's experience, and does the 1.3 drop in the rear make this look still somewhat acceptable?
The other question is, has anyone with the 1" drop been satisfied with the degree of droppage and actually been able to roll up somewhere and people notice the car was lowered.
Last question is, with the coilovers,... does anyone know if that price to be true or good?
Any pictures would help, plus commentary,... I'm lookin' to do this ASAP and just want to make the best decision with a reasonable budget.

been there, done that. For $700 for Teins HA? that's a great price. I have the Tein CS and it's awesome. I've adjusted height a handful of times already.
The 1" eibach drop is hardly noticeable to the eye. Based on my experience. If you have 18's... it would still look "ok"
The espilar springs look awesome. Great height, but without the height adjustability. To me, it's a perfect drop. IF you don't think you're going to adjust your height, just get these price wise. These springs are actually supposed to ride smoother than eibachs.
I hope this helps. I haven't posted in a while...

PS: The Eibach SC springs drop the car to what stock height *should* be. Makes the car look more normal. If you want your car to look modified, then buy Supra suspension.

I've searched the web for Espelir springs,... can't seem to find a valid workin' link,... any suggestions? I looked at Spartan for the rear shox,... anybody know if $318 for the full set can be beat or matched with any decent aftermarket shox? I think I'm leanin' towards gettin the TT Supra set up.

Mackin Industries (distributor of Volk Racing/Rays Engineering) is planning on distributing the Espelir brand. They are still in the testing stages, but as soon as they start selling, I'll let you guys know.
but if you want Espelir now, the best way is probably to find someone to import it for you from Japan. Maybe Will can do that cuz he had a few sets for sale a while back.

I used the JIC SF1 coil over set to lower my car. The damper is not adjustable, only the height. Overall I'm satisfied with the results. At first it was way too low from adjusting them off the car, then I raised it up a bit and now it's perfect. As for the ride, a bit more bounce than stock but nothing unbearable.

Howie,
Would you know what the srping rates are for the Espelir springs? I'd love to get a set for my Soarer, I just need to know the rates as I'm still going to be keeping my factory TEMS struts, I just need lower springs.
Thanks
Jose

today i discovered a tokico full suspension package, with adjustable 5 way illumina shocks, and springs that lower the car 1.25 inches all the way around. I was really surprised i could not and still really can not find any information on them. They are designed for the supra. i have found them as cheap as $580, and I will be getting them even cheaper because my buddy's friend works at an performance shop and gets items at cost. check out www.nopionline.com under supra suspension kits. There are a few other sites i have found them online ranging from 580-700. let us know what you go with and how it works out. Good Luck!
