Front Suspension SQUEAKS over bumps and while turning
(IS250 AWD)
Hey guys,
When turning the wheel at a stop, I get this high-pitched squeaking / creaking coming from the wheel well.
Over bumps, the same "area" makes a similar squeak, almost sounding like a little bird chirping!
There is no clunking or popping.
I lifted the car up and checked for play in all planes with the wheel on, and there was zero. With the car jacked up, turning the wheel yielded the same squeaking sound.
I seemed to have localized the sound to the lower ball joint but I'm unsure if that's actually what it is.... It seems the sound is in the vicinity of the hub, and is not coming from the upper balljoint or the coil over itself. Anyone have any experience with these symptoms?
(I had assumed the small ball joint/boot on the outer tie rod was the problem, as I had to remove that when I took my coilovers out to rebuild them a couple weeks ago -- the sound is not coming from there)
I've done quite a bit of suspension work so I'm fairly familiar with my chassis, but this has me stumped!
Thanks in advance!

I took my is350 to the shop and had them try to diagnose what the noise was. It sounded similar to a chirp. I could only hear the noise below 25mph and with the windows down, but not really too much inside the car. I ended up replacing the wheel bearing and the noise went away.
The Lexus dealer wanted me to replace the whole suspension, and then they would be albe to determine if that was the reason or not. I declined and ended up replacing tie rods, but it didn't change any noise, and then i researched further and decided it was time to replace the lower control arms. The lower control arms helped with vibration at 60+mph but the noise didn't go away. It maybe be time for wheel bearings, there on eBay for about 50 bucks shipped on sale of course.
