Is350 fsport Check Headlight System
Hello Everyone
Yesterday I lowered my is350 and I am happy with the result apart from one thing
Whenever I start the car I get the words CHECK HEADLIGHT SYSTEM in my dash and the red exclamation mark!
I have tried moving the two switches at both LHS wheels. The switches make no difference to the height of the headlights and no matter what adjustment I have the message still comes up in the dash
Is there something else I need to do to remedy this?
All help will be greatly appreciated
My car is a 2011 IS350 Fsport
Many thanks
Darren

Hello again
After going back to the car and really having a good think about it I have sorted out the problem.
The rear arm on the AFS system has a knee joint. When I was levering down the LH control arm to refit the Shock absorber/spring unit, the arm must have reversed itself at the knee joint. So instead of the plastic part of the arm being nearly vertical, it was near horizontal.
Once I swapped this over I was able to move the arm within it adjustment and watch the headlights go up and down.
For the record I did not have to touch the front AFS switch.
All fixed now and hopefully this information will help the next person this happens to. I did not look at the arm orientation before I pulled it all a part. In hind sight I should of.
